Ed Gordon
Ed completed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in engineering and worked as an industrial process engineer and started flying in 1987. He has an Airline Transport Pilot Licence, has flown more than 11000 hours in total of which more than 6000 is on the PC12. He also has extensive experience as an instructor.
Prior to joining MS Aviation, he set up and ran a small charter company in Malawi. He was subsequently employed by the SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service as chief Flying Instructor on their fleet of six Pilatus PC12s, which he also managed. Ed has completed both flying and maintenance courses at the Pilatus factory in Switzerland and has ferried five new aircraft from there to South Africa.
Gary Templeton
Gary is one of the founders of MS Aviation. He studied electrical engineering and worked in this field for a while, before turning his attention to the tourism market. After managing an upmarket lodge on the South Coast of Durban for a number of years, Gary returned to Cape Town to be involved in a car rental company and travel agency. He is responsible for the business operations of MS Aviation.
Wilhelm Mosehuus
Wilhelm holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Airline Transport Pilot License. He is also a flight instructor and a post-maintenance test pilot. His 4000 hours of flying vary from corporate and bush flying in the Pilatus PC12, Beechcraft King Air and others to competitive gliding in Southern Africa’s flatlands and mountains. He is extensively involved with other companies in the MS Group.
Pierre Myburgh
Pierre completed BTech Quantity Surveying in 2004 and worked as a professional quantity surveyor before pursuing aviation as a full-time career. He has an Airline Transport Pilot License and worked in General Aviation from 2009 to 2015 and then joined Cathay Pacific from 2015 to 2020 on the Boeing 777. Pierre has more than 6000 hours of total flying experience with more than 1700 hours on the PC12.
Pierre was Safety and Quality officer at Cape Town Flying Club and MS Aviation from 2011 to 2015. He has extensive experience as an flight instructor on various aircraft and is the Chief Pilot for MS Aviation.
Jaco van Zyl
Jaco is the designated Safety, Quality and Security officer for MS Aviation and also helps out with flying and instructing from time to time. This is a part-time position for Jaco as he is a full-time 737-300F freight Captain.
Jaco has an Air Transport pilots license with just over 9000 flying hours. And close to 3000 hours as an instructor. His aviation career spans over 28 years and saw him hold various positions all over the country. Some of these include Chief flying Instructor at Cape Town Flying Club, Chief Flying Instructor at Stellenbosch Flying club, Chief pilot at SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service on the PC12, Line freight pilot on HS748, King Air and PC12 Instructor as well as Training Captain on B737 presently.
Nadia Pietersen
Nadia is your first point of contact for charter flight quotations and logistics that follow. Prior to working in Aviation, Nadia has spent over a decade in the hospitality industry. With a background working as a corporate travel agent piecing together complex itineraries and organising events. She has experience on the operational side of travel and tourism. Nadia is your first point of contact for charter flight quotations and logistics that follow.
Nadia manages aircraft and crew schedules and deals with all aspects of charter logistics.
